Ninety-One

That's how old she'd be on her birthday today. She was the only woman in my life who could not sleep until her young son had returned from a college party. Only then could she sleep soundly. She didn't care about academia, religion or politics. All she ever concerned herself with was the welfare of her husband and three boys. Selfless was the best word to describe her. Happy birthday Mom, I'll keep a light on for you.
